Unhappy motor oil pan gasket change?

I looked under my camry 200 4cyl, and was looking at the motor oil pan, there is a wire on the pan that looks like it has a big bandaid looking thing like glued to it then it goes to the front of the engine. is that supposed to be there, what is it? and would I have to lift the motor mount like I did when I replaced the trans fluid pan gasket? is there any videos on how to remove the motor oil pan? I don't think I can get to one of those bolts.

Might just need to remove the exhaust pipe.

The band aid device may be an oil pan heater. When plugged into 120V, it heats the oil in the pan.

you're right, i just talked to the guy who sold it to me he said he lived in Alaska and he needed it to get to work cause it got so cold, he said I can remove it since I live in a warmer climate, I tried and there was a wire that goes back in to the back of the engine, so he said that I can just cut the wire as close as I can get and it wouldn't harm anything.
