Default Camry Hybrid - Do I need to disconnect 12 volt battery?

Hi all,

I have a 2008 Camry Hybrid.

I need to replace a mono-amp that powers my subwoofer and wanted to ask if I need to disable my 12 volt battery first?

If so, is there anything special about doing it? Will anything bad happen to the car as a result of disabling reconnecting?

Thanks

Depending on your stereo/navigation system type the amp may be connected to the battery through one or more fuses. Does the car have a navigation system?

The throttle is electric and may need to relearn how to operate. If you have a Toyota navigation system it may need to be reloaded from DVD.
