Check Engine Light
I have a 1998 Camry. I bought it in 2000 with just over 30,000 miles on it. I've not had any problems out of it. This past weekend the check engine light came on. It does't seem to be driving any different. I'm not mechanically inclined, but my guess is the heater doesn't get quite as warm as it use to so it might be the thermostat but I've been told the light could indicate anything from needing a simple tune-up to early detection of transmission problems. Any thoughts?
Thanks

You'll need to pull the code to give us a clue. Autozone, Advance, etc. usually does it for free. The code may not directly lead you to the problem but only givethe general area to diagnose. You will probably need to fix the problem topass emissions if your state has them. If you're not prepared to fix this yourself then I would suggesthaving your repair shoppull the code and advise you.
