Default CHecking the check engine light

i looked on other threads and i coldnt find it, but is there a way to check what the problem is on your own without taking it to the dealer or shop, because i kno fow fu you can do with a honda accord by sticking a paper clip in somewhere.

You'll need a scan tool to figure out why the check engine light is on. Unless you actually want to purchase one- you'll need to take it in to the dealer or a shop. Some auto parts stores will read the code for you- but don't trust their interpretation of the code. Only a qualified technician should be troubleshooting- not parts guys.
