Question 2001 Toyota Camry keep blowing the 10A guage fuse when shift into reverse.

A few week ago my tail light indicator on the dashboard came on when I step on the brake pedal, I check and found one brake light was much dimmer than the other, I but didn't have the time to replace it, so I drove a week without any problem, then yesterday I went to the mall, on my way home I notice that the speedometer, cruise, tach meter quit working, when I got home my battery went dead (1 hr drive). I replaced both of the brake lights, inspected all the wires in the trunk and it appear to be good condition and I replaced the 10A guage fuse, everything seems to be working order except that if I shift to reverse it blew up the fuse immediately, no problem on any other gears. I appreciate any helps or suggestions.

you should not drive it after seeing the problem. It would worst the problem... I suggest take to the mechanic and see whats the real score and fix it.

Follow the wiring harness from the trunk lid hinge up into the body of the vehicle and look for any broken wires in the harness. This is a VERY common problem of the wires splitting open. You may need to remove some of the taping around the wire loom protector to get a good look at the wires inside. Pull on them one by one and chances are- you'll find your problem.
