Does the motor need to be jacked up to get the cam seal in?
97 Camry 3.0 V6, installing the cam seal by the alternator is easy but the cam seal near the strut tower is impossible to get in. There is not enough room back there to hammer it in and I barely can tap the hammer on the socket. The light tapping is not enough to get the seal in. Does the motor need to be jacked up to get the seal in?

had to look at the picture for quite some time
looks almost impossible to hit the seal straight on
a shallower socket or a correct outer and inner size piece of pipe to hit the seal in
there is a special toyota workshop tool

you probably already have this information

looks like the 1997 -2002 camry changes were cosmetic and less mechanical
source contains 4 cyl and V6 engines and other bits
