hey fellas,
new to this forum and pretty much camry's. im a nissan finatic, but still an enthusiast. i have a 96 camry le with a 3.0 in it. the check engine light came on and i was told it was excessive flow in the egr system. i replaced the egr valve and reset the ecu. it threw the same code at 39 miles later. im not really sure what else to look for. any ideas on the next step. any help is appreciated. thank you

 

Check that the VSV valve that controls vacuum to turn the EGR valve On/Off is not stuck open.

Check the EGR valve position sensor.

Check wiring for both.
