Default Electric windows question

Hi everyone...

Need a bit of advice...

I have a 1998 camry CSi,2.2 litre 4 cylinder model,with manual windup windows.

I just bought a 1999 Camry V6 conquest tonight, hit in the rear, but doors etc are great.

is it just a matter of unbolting doors, unplugging the door wires from wherever it unplugs, bolting them onto my manual winder model camry, and plugging the wires back into my car?or do i have to change a lot of other stuff too?

Thanx in advance for any replys.

The 2 cars are of the same Generation thus the parts such as the regulator might fit. Suggest you check websites such as www.rockauto.com to determine if the part numbers between years are the same.

The wiring might be a little more involved. The power window circuit taps off the power lock relay (does the 1998 have power locks). There is also a power main relay which both cars may have but can't state for sure.

The bulk of the window controls are in the drivers door console. You need to make sure the car with manual windows was wired for power windows.

Suggest if going this route to make sure you retain access to the 1999 car in case you need additional parts or wiring.
