Default engine studdering/ hesitation

so i have a 2000 toyota camry 4cyl. with 50000 miles. it has recently had a wierd studder, only when the a/c is on. for instance sitting at a stop light it feels as if the compressor is kicking on but the car kind of jerks. upon start up with the a/c on and reversing it does it a few times also. its mainly when your stopped. oil has been changed, as well as spark plugs, and tranny fluid and filter. any ideas would greatly help. i'm thinking maybe the spark plug wires, but i had heard that they generally last long time. thanks in advance.

it dips down just a bit. i know its normal for the a/c to kick on and the rpms to change a bit but it almost feels like a miss fire or something.

Thumbs up Engine studder

Hey guys. Ive had an engine studder on my 99 Camry LE V6 for about five years. In that time Ive had different mechanics look at it. The most common answer was EGR Valve and/or EVAP. Well I decided to study this myself and do some testing because I hate throwing good money after bad to "Guess" at a repair. Long story short I replaced the EGR valve position sensor on top of the EGR. It is a Toyota only part. Got it for $34 on USAUTOPARTS.com THree small bolts and 2 minutes later I replaced the sensor. Fixed the studder completely and the check engine light cleared.

P.S. Mechanic quoted me $400 parts and labor!

It is 4 cylinder. Rpm drops to 500 and then returns to 1000
