Fluid types and capacities
Hi!
just curious. The owners manual is gone, and sometimes there is special fluids required.
on my 94 le 2.2l... with a140e trans. Does anyone know the capacity, weights, and any specialty fluids required ?
engine oil?
power steering fluid?
brake fluid?
coolant?
trans fluid?
thanks guys!!!

Engine oil: 3.8 qts with filter. Use 10W-30.
PS fluid? Just remove and refill the reservoir between drives until fluid is clear, Dexron II.
Brake fluid: Don't know. DOT3.
Coolant: 6.7 qts. Use something labeled as a "Asian Formula" or Zerex G-05, Toyota brand.
Trans fluid: 2.6 qts for drain/refill of pan, Dexron II.
Differential (trans has separate trans and diff fluid chambers): 1.7 qts, Dexron II.
Dexron II was replaced by Dexron III which is no longer sold as Dexron III. Use something labeled as ATF compatible, ATF Dexron III, Dex/Merc that is compatible with Dexron III. Any auto parts section or store has a selection of these fluids.
