just got a 2007 camry LE 4cyl., the first tank gave me 18mpg driving regularly no sudden stops punching the gas nothing...the question i have is does the fuel indicator light go on when the indicator is at 2nd to the last slot?????? i asked the salesman and he said thats how all the camry's are set up...throw me some feedback people...thanks

the fuel light tends to turn on before it gets to the last bar.
it varies depending on the angle the car happens to be at since the fuel measurements are taken from one end of the tank.
the light shouldnt turn on when the needle is at 1/4 but i guess the warnings just come on earlier and earlier. haha
18mpg is bad for a 4cyl but give it 2 more tanks and u should see an improvement to mid 20s if ur driving easy, not speeding etc. the time the light turns on may change too. It maybe turning on earlier due to the rate of fuel consumption. Because between the time the light turns on to the car stalling should be about 20-30 miles.
