Default headlight adjustment doesnt seem to work

one headlight points very low ...from 15-20 feet away pointed at the garage I cannot get it to point above the ground..I've turned the screw as far as it goes but it wont go up ?

Any suggestions ? Do I need something from the junkyard ?

Did the screw run out of adjustment or turning it has no effect? Are you turning the right screw?

i believe i am turning the right screw as I had to adjust the left one and it brought the left light up quite a bit.....turning the same screw for the right light doesnt seem to make a difference (although its hard to tell as its pointing at the floor)

There appears to be 2 screws. The one closest to the center of the car is supposed to adjust vertical. Determine if the nut the screw engages is stripped.

Hi, I took the unit off the car and inspected it and where the mechanism connects to the light is cracked and totally separated...so I probably need to replace ..there is no way to get in and superglue.
So I found the what I need on ebay for $28.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

however it says for US made Camry's only. I checked and mine was made in Japan.... can anyone explain what would be different between the US and Japanese car ? Would the "US made only" unit work in my car ?

Don't know.

Some sellers also list a production range date.

Suggest you call or email some of the various vendors selling this item and ask way the difference.

i was able to superglue part of it and shim the bottom to get it in line.

also, my investigation of the differences between the Japanese and US built Camry headlights had to do with the lens clearness.... i was told by two different salvage yards that the US model would mount ok on the Japan model but would look slightly different.
