Default Headlight - dash light issue

Well... New to the forum. Of course, I'm trying to resolve an issue with girlfriends 2009 Camry. It's an SAe model. Previously when she would turn on her headlights, the dash lights would be extremely dim, and there would be no radio backlight. Now when headlights on, there is no dash lights at all, and still no radio backlight. When headlights are turned off, dash lights return to full illumination and radio comes on. Any thoughts? I do appreciate it. Thanks every body.

Welcome to the forums!
When you experience this dim light issue, what time of day is it?
Have you adjusted the dimmer when it is after dark?
Try turning lights on manually by way of the switch on the stock.

It is night time when this is noticed. As for the dimmer...I did a quick look for one, but haven't found it. Did the SEs get dimmers? Where were they installed? In my 47 years I've had 48 rides...including Mazdas...all had dimmers. For the life of me...that was my first thought. But a "quick" look on a cold night, I cannot find it.

I believe your dimmer needs to be turned up.
Try turning the trip/reset **** that is in the gauge cluster.
Try checking your owners manual as well as I am not too familiar with your year of Camry's dash board layout.

The trip odometer button also rotates slightly and is the dimmer. The car was bought used and didn't have all the manuals. It was missing te owners manual. That's odd, never had the trip reset button as a dimmer. It was the answer though. Thanks folks.

Thanks for posting back and I'm happy that you can see how fast you are going at night.
