Default Headlights keep going out

Hi,

I am a newbie who recently got a 3rd owner Toyota Camry LE 99 this year.
The car is in a good condition for its worth.

But I have been having problems with my headlight on passenger side.

The bulb keeps going out. It works on high beam only. Why does it happen? Would getting the headlamps cleaned help?

I'm assuming you have tried multiple bulbs, and the issues keeps reoccurring. I would take a digital volt meter and measure the voltage to the head light socket in both low and high beam positions on the head light switch. Maybe there is a voltage spike or an inconsistent voltage caused by something in the wiring which is making the bulbs go bad.

Thanks guys.

@lavalleemike: No I havent tried different bulbs.. I used the sylvania 9003 bulb to replace the previous one...

But I will check with the local mechanic. I am planning to buy the Silverstar Ultra ones this time.
