Headlights won't turn on at night
#4
Correct me if I am wrong but don't the daytime running lights (DRL) and low beams both use the same light bulb filament?
Both high and low beams share the same ground wire circuit.
When the DRL's are turned on a resistor is placed into the ground wire circuit via a relay (DRL No 4) and other relays send power to the low beams. The result is a dimmer light bulb.
When low beams are selected relay No 4 routes the ground wire directly to ground and the same relays send power to the low beams.
Are you sure you have high beams and DRL's.
If you have a voltmeter check for voltage at the low beam filament wiring. Determine if there is power when the DRL's are on but none when low beams are selected.

high beam & daytime light are the same bulb, and low beam is a separate bulb, OK as I took the bulbs for low beams I noticed both bulbs are burned out so its the bulbs silly me not to check the bulbs before i thought the high/low beams were the same bulb on this car thanks for responding
