Hunting Issue from Toyota 1999 LE 185,000 miles
Howdy Everyone,
My Camry seems to hunting (I believe I am using the term right) the engine seems to reving its RPM when it is in park. I had the hose line replaced that goes to the idle control air valve and it still seems to be hunting. I was wondering do you think if it could be the catilitic convertor and if so how could I solve the issue? Thanks so much.

Thanks for the reply. Engine seems to provide enough power. I was thinking it could be a vacum leak? Any thoughts? Any ideas about how to find the leak?

Some folks use an unlite propane torch. If a vacuum leak the propane will be drawn into the hose and cause the engine RPM to rise.
There are only so many vacuum hoses connected to the intake, remove one at time and plug both the hose and port it attached to. Determine if this makes a difference in idle.
