Advance auto says they can test ignition modules. I'm skeptical, because any test is only as good as the guy testing. I've never heard of it, and neither have the first two mechanics
asked. My first question; is it possible to check a module? One more question ; what's a "baseplate" in the distributor actually called, and do they commonly go out?
