Default Intermittent stall

I have a 1989 Camry wagon with the V6. Just bought it. It likes to stall every once and a while and in that I mean it loses electrical power and quits. Also, at times I would turn the key but no power to the starter (all dash lites come on fine). I think I solved that problem when I found a loose terminal on the positive side of the battery and replaced because it wouldn't tighten up anymore. It has a brand new battery and starter in it. I'm thinking of replacing the positive or negative cables as my next step and looking for any other loose or corroded connections. Anyone have any other or better ideas?

Default RE: Intermittent stall

I think you're doing just fine on the fixes. On an 89 I would also find as many ground straps from engine to body as well and disconnect and clean them with a wire brush. Also clean the connections at the starter. Buying a battery post brush to keep those clean and shiny would help as well. If it stalls again try wiggling the key to make sure your ignition switch is not loosing contact.
