Default Lock Unlock Horn Chirp Enable and Disable Toyota Camry and some other years and model

When Horn chirp is enabled, the vehicle horn will chirp on locking and unlocking the vehicle, to enable or disable the horn chirp:

1. Turn headlight switch "OFF"

2. Cycle the ignition switch from "LOCK" to "ON" three times (within 5 seconds) leaving it "ON"

3. The vehicle security indicator will illuminate continuously for 5 seconds

4. During the time the indicator is illuminated, operate the horn(for 1 second). The turn signals will flash once to confirm successful programming.

5. Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" and test system with the remote controls.

To disable horn chirp, repeat the procedure for enabling.

I'm posting this because it took me a month to find on an obscure forum in Australia. the dealer was only going to charge $120 to fix it... LOL!

This procedure also works to turn off the annoying Chirp, Chirp Chirp when you start the car. My 2017 would chirp 10 times from outside the rear of the car, when I would turn the key. The car did not have to be running, the car did not have to be out of the park position. This seemed like a safety chirp to let people outside the vehicle know that this vehicle was going to move. Thanks for the procedure. It worked to solve my problem.
