Mystery battery drain

Battery Drain Toyota Camry 2007 XLE
I ended up taking it to the local Toyota dealership. They quickly determined that there was an aftermarket security system that had been placed before the vehicle was purchased. We had no idea that it was even on there. Apparently the security system had a short which was the cause of the parasitic drain. Problem solved!
Please help, how do I determine or solve the problem of the aftermarket security system that had been placed in the car. I am having same problem with my Toyota Camry 2007 XLE

First find out if there is excise parasitic drain on the battery. One can do this using a VOM meter. The car will always have some parasitic drain as some systems remain in standby however the amount should be small. Youtube should have videos on how to do this test and what is a normal drain.
Typically a aftermarket security/remote start is installed under the dash. Look under the dash for a small plastic box that appears to be not part of the normal wiring. The wiring to the box may look different from a color and diameter standpoint and the box not attached firmly to the car but using tie wraps.
Check if the car has an after market stereo amp/radio. One can tell this by confirming the stereo is Toyota factory installed as well as the speaker system.
Make sure the trunk light is turning off when the lid is closed.
