Default Need help getting correct bolt!!

Hi all, I have a 1996 Camry LE (4 cyl,2.2) and I noticed a missing bolt near the top motor-mount that is missing & needs to be replaced. The kid at Auto-zone no help & the person working the counter at the local dealership couldn't get the info on his parts computer. So, I thought I would post some pictures of where the bolt is missing from in hopes that someone here can tell me what size bolt (thread, pitch, size, depth-length) etc. I would love to get the bolt today locally from Auto-zone or Napa without having to wait for the dealer top open Monday. Anyone know off-hand?

The bolt is a standard metric size. Most likely the same diameter as the bolts holding the dog bone to the chassis and bracket. And the same bolt as the one on the other side of dog bone mount bolting it to the engine.

Remove one these bolts and determine if it screws into the vacant hole. If so measure the vacant hole depth to get the length. Reinstall bolt.

Go to hardware store that stocks metric bolts. Does AutoZone and NAPA carry metric bolts?

Bring a wrench to remove bolt and take into store then ask sales person to match up the diameter, thread pitch and length you need. You want a slightly short length bolt to make sure it does not bottom out in the hole.

If possible get at least a grade 5 bolt strength. The salesperson will know what this is about.

A well stocked hardware store will have the bolt.

The link below shows the various metric bolt configurations.

The M designation is the diameter in mm. The other figure is the thread pitch. Just like non-metric bolts there are fine and coarse thread bolts.

Most likely the bolt would be fine thread.

The dealer only has info listed on the computer which may not break down to this specific bolt part number. They might take the time to match up a bolt that you brought in them.
