Overheating problem
HI Guys, ok I am a new guy ower here but alredy have a problem.
I have a 1994 Camry 2.2 engin and have a problem with overheting the engin, if I drive under 3000 rpm its all fine, if I go any higher even for short period of time my temperatur jump sky hight(over a red spot) stay there for a minut or two than get back to normal.
There is a new water pump and new thermostat install, did anybody have the same problem like that.
Thanks

Was there any change in the coolant temperature rise (slower, not as high) after these repairs?
Is this 3000 RPM regardless of what gear the trans is in, such as holding the trans in 2nd gear and running over 3000 RPM?
Did you check the flow through the radiator and external fin area for debris?. Should be able to run a garden hose through the radiator without backing up.
Check the lower radiator hose for sponginess, rare but if spongy might collaspe under higher coolant flow.
What happens if you run the heater at full blast, does this delay the onset of the temperature spike?
