The codes are typically for a bad ign coil, P0303 is for cylinder No 3. Check ign coil on cylinder No 3. A bad coil can also cause engine shake.

However there are other issues that can cause these codes.

Being 2 quarts low is not good but would not assume this causing the problem yet.

Check for leaks when the engine is running. If a 4 cylinder look for oil dripping out the timing cover area when engine running.
Hi im having the same problem. And i noticed some oil drop coming from around timing cover what may be causing the check engine to blink and throw codes

If the check light is flashing there is a major misfire which can lead to converter failure. The problem is too rich of mixture.

Suggest you start with the ign system such as coil, ign wire, etc.

What does injectors being off mean?

What year of car?

If possible swap ign coil positions and determine if trouble code changes to another cylinder.

Year of car?

Check the first A/F sensor on the exhaust system plus its wiring.

Default P0303

Hey all. Having a similar problem with my 03 Camry. 2.4L 4cyl. Code P0303. Changed plugs, coil, and injector. Still throwing P0303. Autozone CEL service suggests a new Cat? Is that the only thing left it could be? Would hate to drop $600 and it be wrong again. Would it be worth a shot to change the valve cover gasket first just to see?

Speculate the only a way a converter could cause an issue is if was plugged up. Here a vacuum gauge can check for excessive exhaust back pressure. Read up on checking exhaust system back pressure.

Any other codes showing up such as P0171 or P0172? How does the engine run and idle? Has the MPG gone down? Any gas smell in exhaust?

Below is the list of possible issues.

Open/short in wiring or connector issue.
Vacuum hose leaks.
Ignition. Do a spark test and compare to another cylinder If you can swap coils with cylinders try this and determine if the code moves.
Injector.
Fuel pressure. This needs to be done by attaching a pressure gauge.
MAF. Try cleaning the MAF
Engine Coolant Temperature sensor (ECT). Temp between 167 and 212F
Compression.
Valve clearance or timing
PCV valve, hose and connections. Check this first.
Intake air leaks
Also check for exhaust leaks. Check the flex pipe on the exhaust for leaks..
ECM

A decent scanner can check real time coolant temp and MAF readings. Some can read how each cylinder is operating..
