Default Please help P0440!

Hello everyone,
I have 2002 camry le V6,
with the code p0440, ihave changed gas cap, also paid to have new charcoal canister installed and the check engine light is still on.
The only good news it used to read code p0446 and p0440, now just P0440. I need to get it registered soon so I really need some help.
Thanks!

Unless you are going to do your own work take the car back to the repair shop and state you problem. The mechanic may have assumed it was the canister but the fuel tank or some hose could have a leak.

P0440 means the fuel tank or EVAP system has a leak. Its a very broad code covering a lot of items.

The P0446 code means EVAP control system vent malfunction.

The EVAP and fuel tank are plumbed together and there is some overlap on parts between codes.

It is also possible the other code has not set yet. Each code has a different test procedure, the computer may not have finished running the test procedure for the P0446 code.

What do think would this have anything to do with this code? I'm just going what I get off of google.

I haven't seen that thanks.
Do you think I need to buy factory VSV or do you think it doesn't matter?
Thanks again!

Either should work.

Make sure you get the right one as shown in the bulletin. There is one near the canister and one near the engine.
