Default Power Steering fails in wet weather

Hi All - Have a 2007 Camry Hybrid (240k miles). I have noticed recently, when there is heavy rain, my power steering quits working.
Are there any knows "chafing" spots or connectors in places that could get wet that could affect this? Any other thoughts?

Cheers
Rossi

Would start with locating the harness plug going to the steering motor. Clean the contacts with electrical cleaner then pack the connector with dielectric grease.

Also if the 12v battery is failing, it can cause all sorts of problems. Make sure it's putting out 12v.
