I have a Camry, V6,3.0 L and it was hard to find the connection first. Is there an issue with scan tool?

I used an ACTRON OBD 2 SCANNER #cp9175 and works well for all my old cars. At the time it was expensive but a more sophist iced scan tool. You can get them on ebay used. I think I bought it many years ago since it could handle the old cars as well.

Also these scan tools have software updates which I have not updated yet. That may make a difference.

As stated in other posts V-6 equipped cars prior to 1996 was not fully ODBII compliant. There were two diagnostic plugs. One was ODBII design and the other something else.
