I am about to buy a 2007 Camry LE with ~25Mi on it. It has the 2.4L I4 engine and 5 speed automatic.[*] The place where I am buying this car has a no questions asked 5 day return period during which I am going to 1. take it on a decent length weekend road trip into the mountains and 2. have an independent mechanic give it a through going over.


I have a question for the group: Are there any typical problems with this car that I and the mechanic should be on the lookout for?


I also have some additional curiosity driven questions:


1. Does this engine have a timing chain or a belt?


2. Is the stock exhaust system stainless steel or conventional?


[*]I am breaking with tradition here. My family has been driving GM vehicles with the 3.8L V6 for 20 years so I am used to another engine's standard quirks.
