HI i own a 99 camry le auto and recently the reverse and tail light on my trunk wont work. i check the fuse and replaced the bulb and it still wont work. The only light that work on my trunk is the two above the license plate. Any help please.

check the wireharness for the trunk light.. its located beside the left trunk hinge..it time thewires flex so much that they break apart...

 

Yeah, the wires usually break at he trunk hinge inside the wire conduit. Untape and do a good visual.

i had a similar problem with my 98
there was a short somewhere in the tail lights/license plate that would blow the fuse instantlyand i just could not identify it.
i ended up rewiring all the way back to the tail and manually splicing everything (major pain) to get them back up and running best as possible.

i would get a repair manual to find out which wires you need to find....if you don't get a manual. just look at the colored wires behind the light socket and use that as a color referance..and while you're in the wire harness repairing the broken wires give the other wires a good pull to sure that they're not in the proccess of breaking....

 

Where is the fuse to the tail lights located???

i think its on the drivers kick panel...if not check under the hood...
