Sun Visor Problem: 2007 Camry
I don't see a thread on this forum about a problem that seems to be affecting a lot of owners - interior sun visors breaking at the hinge and falling down on Camrys.
There is a thread on another forum that has some of the detail: 2007 Camry Sun Visor Problem [Archive] - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums
I have the exact same thing - both of my sun visors have broken at the hinge point - started with a clicking (as a bushing broke) and then eventually the visors would hang down by themselves and obstruct my view. I have had to remove both visors (not fun in Texas).
Looking through some posts on the other forum (see above) it seems this was a common problem. Unfortunately the visors are expensive to replace (approx. $115 each). Getting them from scrapyards is not easy either as they have all been snapped up already.
I contacted both Toyota and the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) as this is a safety issue. No response from Toyota (yet) but the NHTSA did contact me and requested that I make a complaint using this number: 1-888-327-4236.
I would encourage anyone who has this problem to report this as a safety concern to the NHTSA for them to investigate. Perhaps we can get Toyota to issue a recall on the visors if we get enough people complaining.
