Default Taillight Out Warning Lamp

I have a 2000 Camry CE and whenever I have the headlights on and press the brake pedal I get a tailight out warning lamp on the dash. It only occurs when the headlights are turned on. I have check all the rear taillights and all are functioning fine. What should I do?

Thanks for your help,
Steve

Suggest replacing all tail and brake lights.

When replacing check for corrosion and moisture in the bulb sockets.

The warning system is tied into both tail and stop light systems having lots of dual filament bulbs (combo brake and tail). Sometimes a bulb can look OK but have a problem.

Default Tail light out warning light

Set it up for the tail light warning light to come on. Have someone check your license plate illumination light/s. That's what it was on mine.
