Theft prevention
#2
For all those interested.
Install a kill switch for the fuel pump. This is an on/off switch hidden in a non-obvious location that turns the power off to the fuel pump. It can be a toggle or push button switch.
The internet has lots of threads on this subject.
Note that a thief may already know the obvious locations for alarm or kill switches such under the dash or in the glove compartment.
The idea is to slow the theft process down to the point the thief abandons the car in search of easier pickings.
On cars not owned or rentals can remove a fuse that powers the fuel pump or other critical item that is needed to have the car run. Put some kind of reminder in the car to remind you to reinstall the fuse, but only a reminder obvious to you not a thief.
