Default Tie down / tow loops anywhere on a 2012 Camry

I have a 2012 Camry and I'm thinking of carrying a kayak on the roof. Forget the roof rack part for now. It's important to have a safety rope from the front of the kayak to somewhere on the front of the car, and likewise on the rear. Many cars have some sort of tie-down/tow loop built into the chasis. On some carries, there's a little panel in the bumper you pop open and put in a screw-eye. I can find nothing like this underneath the Camry.

Anyone know if the chassis has any tie-down / tow points anywhere?

The only thing I could find in the manual is a time picture on how to tie it to a flatbed saying the tie-downs have to be angled at 45* but it doesn't show what they go around. I think I may have found frame members just in front and inboard of the front wheels I might be able to loop ropes around. Kinda a pain but it might work. Not sure about the back.

Any ideas for tie-down points on the front and back of a 2012 Camry?

Imported Japan built cars may have a screw-in location for a tow bolt, while the US cars may not. If there is such a location, the manual typically references it in detail.

Other possible location areas are:

Check front/rear bumper cover for a single rectangle removable cover on one side of the bumper. Behind the cover would be the screw in hole location.

Late model cars had a screw in point on the front far left drivers side of car behind a removable small panel.

If no factory attach point(s), review bolt locations for a rear Camry trailer hitch. Many times the installation procedures can be downloaded. These bolt locations can be used to bolt-on an aftermarket tow hook or strap eye.

For the front, start by investigating dingy towing bars for towing a Camry with motor home. This to get some ideas of their attach points. Note Toyota does not recommend towing this year of car, will need to research an older Camry.

Suggest investigating bolt-on strap eyelets such at the link below:
