The driver and passenger side mirrors on my 05 Camry were broken by an SUV driven by a teenager and a garbage can driven by me in December. I have removed the mirror, arm (the post that attaches to the door and extends into the mirror housing) and motor to replace the arm on both and reassemble around the original housing. I am looking for a used OEM Japan built replacement, but does anyone know if one of these options would work:

a) use the arm from a US built mirror (easier to find in junk yards / craigslist / eBay)
b) use the arm from a new aftermarket mirror (I doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask)
c) purchase just the arm for the Japan built model on line

I've searched this site and toyotanation, but haven't come across the same question. There's not much damage to the housing and I'm trying to avoid having to respray.

 

You just want the L and R mirrors only?

Heated or unheated?

 

I need the whole housing, mine are unheated, but I think either will work. I really just need to replace the broken arm inside both housings.
