weird noise from the back
Hi everybody,
I have a 2000 Camry with 122.000 miles. I never had any problem with this car and I usually do regular service every 3.000 and 30.000 miles. A couple of months ago I started hearing a funny noise from the back. It sounds rumbling and only happens when I go slow around 15-25 mph. I do not hear anything when I go faster than 45 mph.
Well, last month I went to the toyota dealer for the 120.000miles service and I mentioned the noise. They didn't find anything wrong with the car. The suspension was fine, they also changed the brakes and rotates the tires and inspectioned everything. They told me that the noise is related to the tires and not with the car. They also told me that the tires threads are in good condition and I do not need new tires for now (in the car I have 4 Michelin Harmonys P205/65/R15 with 30.000miles). Anyway after rotating the tires I keep hearing this funny noise from the back and I am starting to be worried.
Should I trust the dealer ? What happens if I will rotate the tires again (with 2 rotations the old back tires will be placed in the front), the funny noise will go away ? Do I need to buy new tires ? Do I have to check another toyota dealer ?
Any idea ? Anybody else with the same problem ?
Thanks,
Pippo
