In planning ahead for new/used Camry (2012? or later)(preferably XLE), am wondering if I can still obtain a tape player. Does anyone know what year/model that stopped offering tape players? Or are they still available?
I have 2003 Camry XLE, 4 cyl. automatic, 2.4L. I love having both tape and CD.

I suppose I can always have a tape player installed after. But wondering about the above first.

by 2012 ,usb and cd, even blue ray ... cassette redundant

if you go ahead an buy a used unit make sure you get its security code

plenty on E bay

wide body camry toyota avalon and other models had tape players, cd player combo
or CD stackers ..even amps

 

D.H.-- So I guess tape players are gone by 2012 (or before). But what a good idea to consider...buying or pulling out a unit from another camry. a la Junk Yard. est same space of newer car.

Tape players are built to standard size specs to fit many makes of cars. However the trim and harness plugs may not match your year of car.

Best bet is searching Epay to determine if a used tape player is available for your year of car.
