Basic Exhaust Dimensions- custom fab
I have a 1992 Camry LE. It has one of the annoying side-inlet mufflers.
I'm working with a friend who will be custom fabbing a muffler to replace the one that has rusted through. I've tried researching the specs needed to make my own, and this is what I've come up with.
Exhaust pipe is either 2.25 or 2.5. Not sure.
Take from parts store website of direct fit muffler:
Height:12"
Length:30"
Width:10"
Hangers are on the end of the muffler.
I think i have all the information i need. Does anybody know if one of the measurements is wrong? Anything to add?

Is this the rear muffler. The dim's of the Toyota muffler can on a 1995 LE are:
19 1/4 X W 12 X H 7. The length does not include a 1/4 inch flange on each end that extends out. Intake and exhaust pipe dia is 2 inch OD. Looks like the photo below:

The Dim's posted are for a rear OEM muffler on a 1995 Camry LE. The 92 should be similar.
The 30 inch OVL may include the length of the mounting brackets and exhaust pipe end welded to the muffler can.
