i'm not a newbie when it comes to cars (well kinda), but i know somewhat more than i should. basically i'm trying to transform my 1997 camry into a showcase-type car (just for myself, though ).

i'm starting with the wheels. so my question is, what are the stock wheel dimensions of a 1997 Camry LE, v6 automatic?
What type of universal wheels should i look for? will any wheel fit if it says "universal"?

any help is appreciated

 

The V6 Camry would typically have a larger diameter 15 inch wheel (rim) such as those used on the Avalon.

Make sure the bolt pattern of the wheel you are considering is the same as the wheel being replaced.

The Camry 14 and 15 inch diameter rims have the bolt pattern.

Might check with the TireRack forum at the Toyotanation website.

The Camry used a pretty common bolt pattern and bolt diameter. You should have no problem finding a wheel that fits without having to resort to a Universal type.

Also make sure the rim offset is the same or similar.

You can measure bolt pattern and offset yourself on the rims you have.
