What are the actually horsepower gains on a cold air intake for 94 Camry 2.2L

are you set on buying a k&n intake? don't those cost like 60 bucks? honestly, im a bit biased towards intakes systems. i'll talk a bit about them.

1) short ram, pros is that it's probably easier to install. cons, there is actually risk of losing power due to heat soak.

2) cold air, pros is that the filter being lower to the ground has more access to cooler air, cons, many cai's you have to remove the bumper and cut various ways for the tube to fit though. and you risk hydro lock.

in the end. buying a 60$ intake, what you are really paying for is fitment. an intake is essentially a pipe and a filter. you can easily make your own custom one with spare intercooler piping laying around and buy a filter for a fraction of the price. try to use the least amount of silicone as possible so that it doesn't restrict air flow.

as for the gains in mpg as well as performance, there will be minimal if any improvement. in the end, at least it sounds mean.
