Default 2000 Camry 3.0

I was told the fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel tank on the 2000 Toyota Camry v6 3.0. Could someone tell me for sure if that is correct. The car smells of fumes like it is running rich.
And using more gas than it should, other than that it seems to run fine. Thank's for any help.

Very plausible.
Any black smoke, hesitation, poor mpg's?

No black smoke, seems to run ok but it smells like it is running very rich or smells like gas and uses a lot more fuel.

No CEL. Do you know if the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank? It looks like it is to me!

The fuel pressure regulator is not in the tank, it'll be under the hood.
