I have a 2002 Camry. I found out after changing the battery, that it will not idle correctly. I went on YouTube. From what I found out, to reset, set parking brake, turn key on, off, on and start. put into drive. Should reset itself. It did not. I tried several times to do. Just keeps dying. I disconnected battery a couple of times to see if that would work. Did not. What do I do to reset idle? Thank you, Mike

 

Every time you disconnect the battery the computer will need to relearn the idle.

It should be able to relearn the idle with normal driving and not having to do anything else. This may take a few ign switch on/offs and driving a little.

 

Thank you. I drove it from Lexington, Ky. to Winchester. Did not reset. About 22 miles total.

 

I’m have the same issue. I’ve driven it a ton since i changed the starter out.
