Default 2007 Camry vibrating in stop light

Hi,
I have bought used 2007 Camry, and it was really nice no vibration when i bought it. a month back i have done floor mat recall since i got the letter from Toyota. after that i am feeling vibration when the car is in Drive mode and not moved(traffic light). the same is happening when it is reverse gear. but it is absolutely normal when it is in Parking and Neutral gear. i checked with dealer again. they checked it and saying they could not reproduce the issue and everything is fine. Anybody faced the same issue?

Thanks
ravi

Hi Ravi.

I have exactly the same issue, took my used 2007 Camry SE V6 with 50K miles to dealer for recall and after that it vibrates when idling in gear. Any further info, anyone?

From other owners of 07 cars this might be "normal."

Yeah I'm having the exact problem.I changed the engine mounts to solve the issue. It helped but did not stop the problem. What do you think??

Default It's most likely a computer problem...

My problem started after I took it in to the dealer for the floor mat and oil hose recall. I do not believe it is a mechanical issue, and replacing the motor mounts will not fix it. It is a computer issue, i.e., something is not set right. Most likely the battery was disconnected during the repair and that caused a glitch somewhere in the programming. Disconnecting the battery does weird things, like the idle is suddenly very high when the car is started cold. The same was true on my 2002 XLE, and I never could get that idle back to normal when first starting, the resetting procedure did not work.

Truth be told, I hated that 2007 Camry SE. With just around 50K miles it had a lot of little things wrong with it, not to mention the fact that it had a crappy manual Heater/AC system that had to be constantly adjusted; the ride was very hard thanks to the "Sport" suspension; there was a lot of wind and road noise, even when on city streets and even with somewhat decent Michelin tires. And I did not like the black cloth upholstery that was difficult to keep clean. Compared to my 2002 Camry XLE the 2007 SE was really a pretty cheap, plasticky car with none of the luxury amenities. Looked good, but that was about it. The old cliché, "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies here.

I say "was" because I fixed all these problems: I traded the Camry in on a 2004 Lexus ES330 with only 24K miles. I took a hit on the Camry, but it was well worth the cost. Good luck to you all with your SEs.

You know whta my problem did start after the recal upgrade. I'm thinking the upgradde affected my car. Right after they handed me the car keys back at the dealer (after the upgrade) my car cut out.IT just turned off. I talk to the manager and he said the upgrade makes the car idle at a higher rpm so the computer tries to figure itself out and the car feels like it skips. He said the computer just need to readjust to the new rpm. Which I now think is complete bul****.
