Default 2013 Camry LE

It's good to be part of this forum. I belong to a motorcycle one and it provides me with great information from the members.

This 2013 is my fourth Camry and 3rd new one. Didn't buy my first new car until I was 37 years old in 1990, a '90 Camry SC. It went 243,000 miles with not one thing malfunctioning. Did all the suggested maintenance but never even serviced the a/c or replace the rear drum brakes. They kept saying the brakes were still good. Changed the front discs every 50,000. Would have kept that car until the wheels fell off but I made a mistake and took it to a new garage that offered a deal on replacing the drive belt/water pump maintenance. They broke the tranny and left my car out front, unlocked with no key. Took it to a transmission shop that was able to get it to at least go into 3rd gear. Sold it for #1200 shortly thereafter. Found out a year later the owner was a crack addict. Loved that car!

Now I have 2013 Camry LE that I absolutely love. Not too many of those out there for some odd reason. My guess is the number 13 scares some buyers. Toyota wasn't selling very many of them so they offered a 0% finance deal that I just couldn't pass up. Jeez, that's the same as cash! 2nd best Camry purchase.

The main reason I'm here is to get all your advice on when to do maintenance that isn't listed in the owners manuel. There's 92,000 on the OD so when it hits 100,000 I'll do a major overhaul on it. Water pump, rad flush, brake bleed, and maybe the plugs a little early. Whatever looks worn gets replaced. Done this with every one and then it's good for another 100,000 miles. Any other suggestions is highly appreciated.

Replace ALL the transmission fluid.

Drop the trans pan, clean it out and change filter.

Read up on how to use the transmissions oil pump to move out the oil fluid and replace with new.

Most of the fluid is in the torque converter and needs to be pumped out.

Thank you! That was one thing I was concerned about. People have told me that living in our dry, hot climate in Las Vegas that fluids need to be replaced more often. That one is now on my list.
