Default 2018 Toyota Camry SE front clicking when I apply my brake

I changed my brakes out at 50k miles and now I’m getting this clicking and popping sound when I brake it’s not all the time but it’s getting annoying.. I used the old clips, pads are from Toyota and I resurfaced my rotors. I think I read somewhere that old clips could be the issue. It sounds as if when I’m breaking the pads are being pressed back into the rotor.. any help would be appreciated

Did you use Toyota pads?

Did you apply brake grease in the appropriate locations?

yes they are Toyota pads and yes grease was applied.. I’m going to order the clip kit and replace that see if it fixed the issue

The pads are most likely shifting in their holder. The new clip kit should help. The pads should press up slightly against the rotor.
