94 Toyota Camry V6 3.0 L - failed smog
Hi, I have a 94 Toyota Camry & it failed smog today.
HC (PPM)
15 mph - max: 84 ave: 37 meas: 108
25 mph - max: 49 ave: 21 meas: 49
The testing site didn't really tell me much. He advised it could be a number of things. He said I could change the spark plugs for $215, but there's no guarantee that'll fix the problem. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Is the check engine light on?
Is the only high reading the HC?
Was the engine hot when tested?
Ign issues can cause this.
You might get a tune up. Plugs, distributor, cap, rotor, ign wires, check timing.
Do you know any friend who work on cars? The hardest part is changing the rear plugs.
Does you state have locationd which can guarantee passing if they do the repairs?
