I live in Washington and planning to ski every Friday. My camry is FWD (235/40R19). I saw in the manual say "*: Tire chains cannot be mounted on vehicles with 18 and 19-inch tires.". I asked the dealer but they say they have no idea as well.So what can i use for the alternative tire chain? I saw most of the review who using tires sock say it tears after first use.

 

The term tire chains can be misleading. There are tire "chains" which are made up of linked chain and as such need more wheel well clearance. There are also tire cables "chains" which are made up of small diameter steel cable. These cable chains require less space between the tire and wheel well. There are also low profile tile cable chains.

Unless the spacing between the tire and wheel well is exceptional small would assume one of the low profile tire cable chain setups would work. Cable chains work well for travel on paved roads.
