My shifter cable bent and I can't afford the $200 to get one from the dealership. AutoZone has a universal one but it comes in 3 different lengths and I have no clue which length to order for my 97 Toyota Camry le 4 cylinder can someone give me any advice???? They said they come in 5' 6' or 7'

If wanting guess. Measure engine compartment cable from trans to firewall. Then from firewall to shifter pole when in park.
