RE: Hi, Some Questions
With the 07 the 93 might hurt it more than it will help. The 2007 Camry 4cyl were set up to run on 87 not 93 the car can't take advantage of boost of the 93 octane. I have seen it before.

RE: Hi, Some Questions
Please explain how it will hurt the engine. Because I believe those gasoline octane rating in my country Malaysia are higher than U.S and the Toyota, Honda and etc are using the same kind of engine between these two region. If 93 or higher octane rating hurts the engine then how to explain those car in my country? I am not picking on u, just want to know and learn more. Thank you.

RE: Hi, Some Questions
good question. how does it hurt engine? but like rebull said not trying to pick on you if you could prove me (us) worng then it'll be something new we learned. i been using 91 octane (CA.. or i havent found a gas station that uses 93 octane) in my '95 Camry V6 and everything seem to fine with it.
***side note*** i was reading on the other forum with the link posted in a previous post that some one said their car hesitate when the engine is cold. that happens to me ('95) to so i usually let my car idle for about 2-5 min before actually driving it. so i have a feeling it happens with all the Camry? no matter what gen it is..?

RE: Hi, Some Questions
already tried 91 here in california. it doesn't work and shouldn't work. the manual states that 87 would be just fine. the issue with the hesitation starts with the ECM and it needs to be updated with the newest TSB. however, there have been some cases where people had to replace their tranny's, but this for the most part, has been for the v6 engines.

RE: Hi, Some Questions
i think TSB EG056-06....if this is the same one we are talking about, is only for 2007 model year Camry vehicles equipped with 2AZ-FE engine and 5-speed automatic transmission.
i get to pick up my new 07' LE on wednesday....hopefully this doesnt apply to me. and if it does, should I just print off the TSB and give it to the service dept. before I even drive off with the car??
