Hi, new member, first post, good to be here.
I've driven a 2004 Tacoma since 2007, and I'm ready to find a car for daily use and occasional 300-400 mile vacation trips, so a good level of travel comfort is something I want. I've kind of decided on the 2007-up body style just because I think it looks good to me, pretty nice.

Ideally I'd like to have a car I can do some performance modifications to also, just for the fun of it and making it handle and run better. Over the years I've enjoyed posting progress logs on projects like a teardrop camper I built and mods on other vehicles, and I'll do the same with this car. So I'm wondering if any of you can point me toward good sites for Camry mods. I've looked around all evening tonight, and I've just not had much luck. I'd like to find some good informational sites too about things like which years might be better for modifications, which transmissions are better, etcetera.

Any info you can offer is welcome. Thanks!

 

Might read up on the issues with the 4-cylinder (2AZ-FE) such as head bolt thread failure and engine oil consumption.
