New Owner!
Hi there Camry family.
I just purchased a 130k miles 96 Camry from my friends grandmother. She has taken care of the care quite well and has every single service record since she bought it in May of 1996.
In the last 10 years, the car has been driven only 15k miles.
The timing belt was replaced at 110k miles.
I've currently replaced the hood struts, wrapped the windows in ceramic tint, installed new wind deflectors, fixed up the interior door handle trims.
I also replaced the valve cover gasket as it was leaking out the back end. That was a fun install to learn.
My question is this. What preventative maintenance things should I go ahead and do?
I know that it would be wise to replace oil and filter, spark plugs, o2 sensor, and I'm noticing that the tires and engine bay hoses are pretty dry so I plan to replace those soon.
Anything I'm missing?
Thanks,
Toyoyo

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the 'new to you' Camry.
It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of things to look out for.
I would not bother with the O2 sensor(s) at this time, when they go they will give a CEL.
You say you have extensive service history so I would go through that and check all the usual maintenance things, like you have mentioned.
Don't forget about transmission fluid and coolant as well.
Fixing any dry rot lines is a mega pain but will save you in the future from having to hunt down some tiny vacuum leak somewhere.

When the timing belt was replaced, did she also have the water pump replaced too? Normally, they ask because it's right there and is only a few bucks more. Like the previous poster stated, change all the fluids. Sounds like a great car.
