I've joined because I'm thinking of becoming a Camry owner.

We have a 12 year old, 80 pound dog with cancer and arthritis. We currently have a minivan, and he needs a ramp to get into that.

I'm looking for a dog-accessible, better MPG, RELIABLE car to replace the minivan.

I have an opportunity to buy a 95 camry LE wagon with a V6. It's a 2 owner car, with no maintenance records. Dealer wants $5900. It's beautiful, but I care more about reliable and affordable than beautiful.

I'm told that timing belt and water pump tend to go, on these cars, around this mileage.

I'd love to ask the dealer to knock $1K off this price (which I believe to be high), but I doubt he'll go for it.

Is this a good gamble? Is this a realistic price? Would you buy this car?
